People Get Ready, 1989 Curtis Mayfield, Taylor Dayne, David Lindley

In 1965, Curtis wrote "People Get Ready" for The Impressions, which was ranked at no. 24 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. The song received numerous other awards; it was included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's "500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll",[10] and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1998. Thanks to my dad who recorded many of the episodes on SLP VHS. Terrible video quality but the audio was PCM stereo.
