Evelyn Corliss White on the Black Madonna - c. 1993

Evelyn Corliss White is a Harvard educated, American writer, editor and journalist whose books include Black Women's Health Book: Speaking for Ourselves Chain, Chain, Change: For Black Women in Abusive Relationships, and the biography Alice Walker: A Life. She is a former reporter for the San Francisco Chronicle.
