In this tutorial I want to show you how to create realistic flower of red poppy.
Poppies are often found growing wild in fields, their bright petals brightening up the landscape with brilliant bursts of red, orange, yellow and other colors.
The Red Poppy is the small-size plant with blooms from 2" to 3" wide. Flowers usually have 4 to 6 petals.
Air dry clay is a perfect modelling material for flowers because it is easy to work with you do not need to bake anything. I use for flowers: 1/3 MODENA soft+2/3 MODENA clay. I use light-fast pigment (ultramarine) for flowers, but you can add oil color in your clay.
For leaves and green: air-dry thai clay (or modern clay)+little piece green thai clay(or green oil color).
