Bayliner VR4 Custom Trolling Motor Bracket Installation - for Minn-Kota Trolling Motors
This is on my 2021 Bayliner VR4 using 1" Marine Grade HDPE & Stainless Steel hardware for a Rock Solid low profile mount for more shaft length in the water... Which is very helpful in waves. Hardware is included in this kit
Mounting Location for the mount:
* Starboard side top of snap with the tape measure flush against the bracket = 5-7/16"
* Port side top of snap with the tape measure flush against the bracket = 5/8"
Tools needed: Tape measure, Pencil, Drill, Drill bits 5/16" for hardware, Countersunk bit to chamfer the holes made in the boat, 13mm wrench for nuts, 3/16" Allen wrench for bolts. PVC Silicone or other outdoor rated silicone to seal edges & around the holes.
Speakers will need to be installed in the Bow to access the hardware to tighten to the boat or Non-access hardware like Toggle wing nuts that fit my included cone shaped flathead allen bolts for the countersunk top plate, but it is very hard to find Stainless steel toggle wing nuts.
I later installed the Minn-Kota Riptide Terrova 36v 112lb thrust motor, overkill, but way worth it. I have so much extra battery life left with my LifePO4 battery from Epoch, pick one up here:
