This EVERYDAY use sugar alcohol may be putting you at HIGH risk for cardiovascular health impairment particularly it may be causing arterial damage, causing your platelets to develop blood clots and may be triggering insulin resistance and impairing your capacity to combat sugar cravings.  This sugar alcohol is often hidden and not labeled properly and may be making you sick and even causing your body to develop heart disease, gain weight and trigger elevated cholesterol levels. In this video, we discuss the potential dangers of consuming erythritol, a common sugar alcohol used as a low-calorie sweetener.

Dr Melissa Gallagher will be highlighting a study conducted by the Cleveland Clinic in February 2023, which suggests that erythritol consumption may be linked to cardiovascular health issues like increased risk of heart attacks, stroke, arterial damage, impaired insulin resistance and increase in sugar cravings.

The Cleveland Clinic erythritol study looked at the effects of erythritol on endothelial function, a key indicator of cardiovascular health. The study found that consumption of erythritol led to a significant reduction in endothelial function, which could increase the risk of cardiovascular disease and stroke.

We will also be exploring other studies that have examined the safety of erythritol, as well as the potential health benefits and drawbacks of using this sweetener. By the end of this video, you will have a better understanding of the potential risks associated with erythritol consumption, and how it may impact your overall health.

If you are concerned about the health effects of consuming erythritol or other sugar substitutes, this video is a must-watch. Stay informed and learn how to make healthier choices for your body and well-being.

Sadly this sugar alcohol is still being manufactured.  It's everywhere!  Please look in all your sugar-free, keto friendly and low sugar "healthy produts" and nutrient-dense powders, drinks, and foods.  The FDA does not even require erythritol to be labeled and the gram content labeled - so look for these labels that are vague alt sugar descriptions.

A healthier alternative to erythritol is: stevia. Stevia is a plant based option.
