Sekota is a town where Agews, Amharas and Tigray Ethiopians have lived together, in harmony, for centuries. This song depicts the traditional dance and clothing style of the Agews (which is very similar to the Amharas) who are the main inhabitants of the norther part of Wag-Himra Zone, as it is known today. Their settlement borders the Tigray region mainly Temben and Enderta of norther Ethiopia. The southern part of the zone, bordering Lasta, is inhabited by ethnic Amharas.
