Fentanyl is about 50-100 times stronger than Morphine and about 30-50 times stronger than Heroin.
Fentanyl has been around since the 1960's but has recently picked up in popularity. It is commonly prescribed by doctors in the form of patches as well as even lollipops and lozenges.
It is an extremely powerful pain reliever which was why the drug was created in the first place however this can lead towards #Fentanyladdiction because of abusing the drug as well as becoming dependent on it.
On the black market and on the street, dealers have been known to cut Heroin and Cocaine with Fentanyl which is what has been causing a large increase in related overdoses.
Some common street names to pay attention to are:
