In mid-June, we arrived in the aquatic city of Venice, where the weather was explosively good and the scenery was so picturesque it resembled postcards. This time, we stayed in Venice for four nights, two at Hotel Dalla Mora on the main island of Venice and another two at Colors Pizza House in Mestre (yes, you read that right, above a pizza place).

After disembarking from the cruise ship, we first stopped at Gelato Marco in Trieste to grab some delicious gelato. Then, we took a train to Venice Santa Lucia station and walked to our hotel, Hotel Dalla Mora, where we would stay for the next two days. We kicked off our trip with a budget-friendly meal at Idea Pizza before embarking on our water bus adventure. At St. Mark's Square, we witnessed the peculiar sight of seawater seeping through the manholes and captured the reflection of St. Mark's Basilica on the water's surface. For dinner, we headed back to Ristorante Pizzeria Dolfin near our hotel and enjoyed a Margherita pizza and carbonara.

On the second day, we visited the opulent Doge's Palace, explored the prisons, and caught a glimpse of the final beauty before the criminals were incarcerated, all from the Bridge of Sighs. For lunch, we indulged in gelato from Venchi, pasta from Rosticceria Gislon, and couldn't resist another scoop of gelato from Suso. In the afternoon, we took a boat to the colorful island of Burano and dined at Ristorante Pizzería Da Alvise near the Venice waterfront, enjoying asparagus pizza and seafood spaghetti. Finally, we strolled around Venice at night, admiring its breathtaking views.

On the third day, we started early with a photo shoot at Libreria Acqua Alta, a bookstore with cats and gondolas (since we couldn't understand the books). Then, we treated ourselves to another gelato. Although it was late, we still made a trip to the local seafood and vegetable market, Rialto Market, to see if there were any delicious treats to buy. We ended up purchasing a small cup of assorted fried seafood from WEnice - La Gastronomia Veneziana next door. Conveniently nearby was Bar All'Arco, a renowned Cicchetti spot, where we savored delicious snacks. For dinner, we returned to Colors Pizza House in Mestre, where we were staying.

On the fourth day, we took a boat to Lido Island and Murano Island, indulging in several servings of gelato and buying ham and bread for a picnic at the supermarket. Upon returning to the main island, we explored the extravagant Despar Teatro Italia, a supermarket converted from a theater, before heading back to Colors Pizza House for dinner.
