Two Pacific National "NR class"
Two Pacific National "NR class" diesel locomotives lead their Melbourne bound container freight train across the Hamilton Highway level crossing, located between Inverleigh and Murgheboluc in Victoria. Amazingly the flashing lights, bells, and boom gates are still not enough to prevent some drivers from foolishly proceeding through level crossings when trains approach, however thankfully on this occasion the train encounters no such problems from foolish drivers.
The NR class are an Australian mainline diesel electric locomotive that use GE Transportation Systems engines and traction equipment developing just over 4000 horsepower. They were introduced by National Rail in 1996 and are now owned by Pacific National.
