A.A. Milne was born in London, England, on January 18, 1882. He is best known for his Winnie The Pooh stories and poems. His poetry collections for children: When We Were Very Young (published in 1924) and Now We Are Six (published in 1927) were very popular with children and are still popular with both children and adults all over the world to this day.
