The bow and arrow represented a huge technological leap for our ancient ancestors. In this video, bushcraft expert Ray Mears demonstrates how people in the Mesolithic period would have fashioned arrows for hunting.

Starting by working flint to create an arrowhead, Ray then fashions a wooden shaft and adds the finishing touches. But will this Stone Age arrow shoot straight?
