Today's video shows a partner stretch that we often use in physical therapy to improve flexibility of the hip flexors and quadriceps. In this position, which is referred to as the 'Thomas test', we are able to quickly assess the flexibility of the muscles on the front or anterior side of the leg, including the psoas muscle (one of the hip flexors) and the rectus femoris muscle (part of the quadriceps group).

Perform the stretch 2-4 times on each side and hold for 15-30 seconds each time to help improve flexibility of these muscles.
