INGREDIENTS

1 packet laziza rasmalai mix
1/2 cup sugar
4 tsp cooking oil
1 medium sized egg(3/4 egg to be used)
1 cup condensed milk( 395g can)
1 1/2 litre full fat milk

Substitute for laziza rasmalai mix;
1 cup milk powder
1/2 tsp plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp cooking oil
1 medium sized egg
1/2 tsp cardamon powder

METHOD

add milk to pan on a high flame
add in condensed milk and sugar and once it reaches boiling point allow it to cook on medium flame for 10 minutes.
whilst milk is cooking prepare your rasmalai balls
add in whisked egg, cooking oil and cardamon powder(if using substitute ingredients) to the rasmalai powder and mix it well using your hands to knead the dough
make the rasmali balls and once they are all made than add to your milk when it is ready
do not stir the milk once you have added the rasmalai balls as this will cause them to break
cook on medium flame for 5 minutes, than stir slowly turning the rasmali balls over and than cook for a further 5 minutes
after a total of 10 minutes the rasmalai should now be ready. Allow to cool before serving
garnish with crushed pistachios and almonds and serve. Enjoy!
