Buster gets mad at Brain for always being right about what kind of hat to get his mom, so he follows him around and quizzes him at random to try to catch him making a mistake. Brain gets annoyed at buster and says that he knows that Buster is upset that he was right about the hat. Later in class, Brain answers a question incorrectly, hoping that Buster will be satisfied that he made a mistake and stop bothering him. In the hallway they see Muffy wearing the same hat that Buster originally wanted to get for his mom and that the hole was there because the jewel that's supposed to go over it keeps falling off. Upon learning this information Brain admits to Buster that he was wrong about the hat and Buster buy the original hat for his mom. The episode ends with Buster and his mom in the ice cream shop where she is showing off her new hat and the Brain hands Buster his order. Buster says that the Brain made a mistake with the order and Brain apologizes, but then Buster laughs and says that he is only joking and wanted the Brain to say that he was wrong.
