Celebrating The University of Manchester's Bicentenary | South East Asia Bicentenary Reception 2024

Hosted by Deputy President & Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Luke Georghiou, we celebrated The University of Manchester's remarkable 200-year journey of research, education, innovation, and social responsibility. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Associate Professor Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim, a distinguished alumnus and advisor to the University of Manchester Alumni Association of Singapore (UOMAAS), who currently serves as Minister of State for the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of National Development. Additionally, we were honoured by the attendance of H.E. Alex Bamford, Deputy British High Commissioner, and Richard Cotton, Head of International Development, The University of Manchester, adding to the prestige of the occasion.

It was an absolutely breathtaking experience and a profound honour to rally an impressive 250-strong support from both our esteemed alumni and current students, culminating in the resounding success of our South East Asia Bicentenary Reception.
