Nonlinear optics is the branch of optics which describes the behavior of material interacting with high intensity incident light. One of the most important nonlinear optical processes is Third-Harmonic Generation (THG) which is categorized in third-order nonlinear processes. In this tutorial, an example of THG process simulation based on a research paper using COMSOL Multiphysics is presented and some its basic results are reproduced. You can use this tutorial to simulate other common nonlinear process i.e. Second-Harmonic Generation (SHG).
