This trail, not maintained by Grand Teton National Park, is a great place to go for solitude. Take the fairy shuttle across Jenny Lake and shave off a couple miles of hiking. Once across Jenny Lake travel nearly 3 miles up and gain nearly 3,000 ft of elevation on your way through Hanging Canyon to Lake of the Crags. This gorgeous alpine lake sits below the towering peaks of Symmetry Spire, The Jaw and Mount Saint John. This hike is difficult but well worth the effort it takes to be so very far away from the crowds around Jenny Lake. No stop views the entire hike. Personally, I enjoyed it more than the now very popular Delta Lake.
