Every business or project starts with a dream and Belfast Cookery School also started with the dream of evoking the passion for cooking in those who have never tried to cook before or those who have always considered it not much of a fun thing, it also started as some kind of appreciation for the great food and sharing the recipes along with people. There are different classes offered by the Cookery School of Belfast which you will choose from according to what you love the most and what you actually want to learn; there is the Asian class, the Indian, the International, the desserts, as well as other cuisines which the professional chefs working at the place will teach you.
Our experience in the place was actually a very good one because we learned to make a dish with broccoli and chicken and we also baked bread and the surprising thing was that they actually tasted good :-) So we went back home with a new dish learned, a new baking recipe tried, and a stomach that is full because we were the ones to eat what we have cooked at the end.
You will never enjoy a cooking class with a chef who is not helpful and not giving you the friendly feeling that you want to receive; this was not the case with Belfast Cookery School because we truly enjoyed learning the recipe and cooking it especially with the help that was offered from the chef along with the assistance tips and the answers given to our questions - we had lots of questions!
In addition to the professional chefs who were responsible for teaching us, the place is totally equipped, giving the students the chance to feel at their own kitchen and using their own things. The place is equipped and prepared to fit up to 16 students, giving every single one of them a cooking station like a personal kitchen along with the ingredients which that person is going to use, the equipment, as well as the utensils.
At the beginning of the class, you will get introduced to the chef who will be accompanying you through it all. The chef will then inform you with the dish that you are going to prepare along with him and will offer the ingredients as well as the tips which you will need to follow - providing you with a written paper to keep following afterwords - and the final stage will be bringing your magic on and follow the tips which you will use to bring the dish out to life.

Belfast Cookery School might not be one of suggestions you could receive but we actually recommend it because you could choose a class that will teach you an Irish dish, get some fun time apart from all the touristic places you head to, and also have dinner at a different place with the person you are travelling with.
There are different places to visit for food and drinks in Belfast which we could recommend; you could try the Havana Bank Square Restaurant which we definitely enjoyed and which is perfect for lunch, dinner, or having a cocktail (Havana Bank Square Restaurant - Belfa...), and there is also the Cuffs Bar and Grill in Crumlin Gaol which you could visit as a place to eat at and at the same time enjoy the place which is now considered a touristic area (Cuffs Bar and Grill, Crumlin Gaol, Be...).
This school is really different with its classes and chefs and since we enjoyed the meal we have prepared, we are definitely thinking about coming back for another recipe - maybe we could then learn a recipe for a dessert!
