The First Refugee - and the History of the Mahdi's Appearance
The story of the first seeker
From here, from God's Sacred House, the story begins; Muslims gather between the Rukn and the Maqam to pledge allegiance to a man who will appear at the end of time, and he is one of the signs of the Hour that precedes the Day of Resurrection.
He is a man from Banu Hashim, from the descendants of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. His name is Muhammad bin Abdullah.
People live in his time in security and peace. Knowledge and goodness abound, and justice prevails in the land, and among the signs of his reappearance is the First Refuge.
At the end of the year 1399 AH, Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Qahtani told his cousin Juhayman Al-Otaibi, who was an officer in the Saudi National Guard, that he had seen in a dream that he was the expected Mahdi and that he would liberate the Arabian Peninsula and the whole world from the oppressors.
Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Qahtani was one of the advocates of reform, and he was one of the students of Sheikh Ibn Baz. He also traces his lineage back to the house of prophecy, and in terms of shape, he is close to the imaginary characteristics of the shape of the Mahdi that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, told about.
Juhayman took the vision of Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Qahtani very seriously.
And with the dawn of the first day of Muharram, and the beginning of the new Hijri century in the year 1400 AH, corresponding to November 20, 1979 AD.
Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Qahtani and Juhayman Al-Otaibi, with more than 200 men from their group, entered the Grand Mosque in Mecca, carrying coffins full of weapons and ammunition.
With the end of the dawn prayer, Juhayman and his son-in-law stood up in front of the worshipers in the Grand Mosque to announce to the people the news of the appearance of the expected Mahdi and the renewal of religion and his flight from the "enemies of God" and his sit-in at the Grand Mosque.
And his followers pledged allegiance to him and asked the crowds of worshipers to pledge allegiance to him, and the allegiance took place between the corner and the shrine.
After the people pledged allegiance to Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Qahtani, the Saudi security forces intervened and besieged the sanctuary for 3 days, then the sanctuary was stormed, and a clash of firearms occurred and blood was shed, and the first pilgrim, Muhammad bin Abdullah, was killed, and many innocent people who happened to be present at the time of the storming were killed, and it ended The process of occupying the sanctuary after 16 days, on the 16th of Muharram in the year 1400, when the Saudi forces, supported by members of the Jordanian army and French experts, managed to storm the sanctuary, arrest Juhayman, and execute him by cutting off his head.
