SEBI ka full-form hai Securities and Exchange Board of India
SEBI regulates the trade of equities, financial derivatives, and commodities in India.

Ramaswamy Venkataraman, the 8th President of India, signed the SEBI Act on April 4th, 1992.
Presidential assent ke baad ye act Gazette Of India mein print hua tha.
Ye act ke first page par hi likha hai ki this act will “provide for the establishment of a board to protect the interests of investors in securities and to promote the development of, and to regulate, the securities markets”
SEBI has powers of all three branches of the government. Like the legislature, SEBI can make laws. Like the Executive, SEBI can enforce laws. And like the judiciary, SEBI can pass rulings!
SEBI bahut zyada powerful na ho jaaye isleye SEBI ke khilaaf complaints darj karne ke liye a Securities Appellate Tribunal banaya gaya hai!
