Anti-BJP Voices At Karuna Memorial Meeting| Mathrubhumi News

Chennai: Rich tributes were paid to the late DMK patriarch Karunanidhi at a meeting organised by M K Stalin. Leaders of various political parties called for opposition unity against the BJP. The attacks started after BJP leader Nitin Gadkari, one of the earliest speakers, also left early. NC leader Farooq Abdullah in a voice charged with emotion declared: “We are Indian Muslims.” Congress leader Ghulam Nabi said that something “much worse” than Emergency was going on. Derek O’ Brien of TMC provoked vociferous response to his exhortation to capture power with: “I am ready, are you?” CPI-M general secretary Yechury said that a state-sponsored undeclared Emergency was prevailing in the country.
