Just to be cliché, I cannot believe I am writing a Tartarus description. Like I have said many times before, and even in the GD10 anniversary video; watching @TechnicalJL beat Tartarus live in 2020 was one of my favorite moments in this community. Seeing everyone come together to witness it was surreal, and ever since then I have wanted to experience that myself. Beating Tartarus has been a goal of mine for very long, and I finally mustered up the courage to give it a real shot recently. This however quickly turned out to be one of the most grueling grinds I have ever gone through. I was definitely over-confident in myself, and thought it would be easier than it turned out. After shredding through several difficult levels this year, taking no more than 2 weeks on levels such as promethean, fragile, and sary never clear, I thought I was finally ready for tartarus. Little did I know, top 40 is VERY different from top 25. Tartarus shattered me. For weeks I would get home, not really speak much, go to bed, and wake up to play again. I felt utterly defeated, and it felt like I was never gonna do it. Incredibly bad luck, on top of an absurd progress fluke felt like living hell. I am so incredibly proud to have beaten it, but I would be lying if I said this isn't one of the hardest things I have ever gone through in my life, just in general. It took 51 days of intense grinding, but it's finally over. I consider this my new hardest, but only by a VERY tight margin. I think Tartarus, NEUTRA, and Hard Machine are all about the same difficulty, but Tartarus triumphs because of the horrible experience I had. Thanks for sticking through this garbage with me. I appreciate all the support.
