The skinny on the 2023 Yonex VCORE!
Isometric - Developed over 30 years ago, the ISOMETRIC™ design increases the sweet spot by 7%*.Compared to a conventional round frame, a square-shaped ISOMETRIC™ racquet generates a larger sweet spot by optimizing the intersection of the main and cross strings delivering greater control without sacrificing power
Silicone Oil Infused Grommet - allows the racquet to quickly flex and snapback into its original position for increased spin (26.3% less friction between the string & grommet)
Enlarged Frame Top - a wider frame at 2 o'clock & 10 o'clock position increases the ball contact area, producing a higher launch angle (2.3% thinner beam to minimize resistance and cut through the air more easily)
Throat design - newly designed cross section in the neck and throat for better racquet stabilization for increased control and reducing power loss
Aero Fin Tech - Aerodynamic fins that were featured in the VCORE SV have also been upgraded and positioned towards the bottom of the VCORE’s frame. The new Aero Fins are strategically carved out sections that allow for improved maneuverability
Vibration Dampening Mesh - First used in Yonex snowboards to reduce vibrations at impact, VDM is now used in four of Yonex's racquet series. VDM is a stretchy mesh material that is wrapped around the graphite within the grip to filter unwanted vibrations and improve touch and precision
Liner Tech - Newly engineered straight hole grommets allow more string movement on off-centered shots
Aero Trench - To achieve faster head speeds for increased spin potential, the new Aero Trench reduces drag by uniquely hiding the grommets located at the top of the racquet frame
2G-Namd Flex Force - incorporated in the upper throat to the lower frame, flex force graphite is binded together through a carbon nanotube structure that allows for the racquet to flex and snapback for max spin potential
