Schumann In der Nacht Harold Bauer Rec. 1928

While many pianists were filling their programs with the music of Beethoven and Chopin during the 1920's and 30's, Harold Bauer was playing Schumann and Brahms. He did record some Chopin however,and one wishes that he would have recorded more as his Chopin is as exemplary as his Schumann. The same can be said of his recordings of the Moonlight and Appassionata Sonatas of Beethoven. Here he plays In der Nacht from Schumann's Fantasiestucke,Op.12.
