In this video I demonstrate a quick ink and wash technique to create a watercolor sketch of a fir tree. I reveal the fountain pen and waterproof ink I use for this sketch. I also explain the advantages of using a fude nib in your fountain pen. #inkandwash #fude #fountainpen
I use a fountain pen and ink to create a contour drawing and then apply a watercolor wash once the ink has dried. This is a popular form of fountain pen art. Watch this video to learn how to sketch in this way.
I also demonstrate how to fill a fountain pen with ink. :-)
Please Note: Different types and thickness of paper will affect the dry time of ink. Test your ink drawing before proceeding with watercolor wash, to ensure the ink is dry.
