Decoding the Ageing Brain

What happens when our brains age and get diseased? Duke-NUS scientists, with support from the GK Goh Centre for Neuroscience, have come up with a new method to cultivate brain cells from stem cells. This allows them to study how brain ailments arise and explore new treatments for them, offering hope to patients suffering from conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and stroke.
