It's easier than you might think...and very necessary because every VFX artist needs a good superhero landing in their demo reel 🦸 Here's how to do it with Blender - in less than 10 minutes.

In this video, we break down some tools Blender has to make that superhero landing happen.
What you'll need:
1. a shot of your actor jumping as high as they can and landing as awesomely as they can
2. a shot of the exact same location, this time without your actor
3. Blender.
That's it, now let's get right to it. The best part: this effect is so versatile!
The Blender techniques in this video can be applied to a vast array of other concepts...
- We'll start by creating a basic mask around a single frame of our footage to export for animation.
- We will also use Blender's Video Sequence Editor (VSE) to cut the entire effect together.
