Youtube Comment Typing Lag Fix/Workaround

I noticed that when I type a comment in Youtube, the browser gets really laggy.  I also noticed a lot of other people have this issue and it didn't look like anybody found a fix yet.  Well I think I found one... sorta.

I can explain why I think the page lags, but instead I'll go straight to the workaround.

When the "xxx characters remaining" counter below the comment text box is removed, the lag seems to go away.  There are many ways you can remove this counter, and since I have Stylish installed already, that's what I used to remove it.

As I said, there are other ways to remove elements from web pages.  You can use Stylish, Greasemonkey, AdBlock (with the Element Hiding Helper), and probably others.  The element you want to remove is this one:

p class="comments-remaining"

The CSS style for doing this (for use in Stylish, for example) would be:

p.comments-remaining {display:none!important;}


I'm sorry there's nothing to show in the video, but then again there's really nothing about this tip that can't be typed here in the description.  I just hope it helps.  Please "Like" this if it did.
