9 Strange Deep Ocean Creatures Found in Alaska - New ROV Encounters 2023

During July 2023, NOAA has been conducting ROV (remotely operated vehicle) expeditions in multiple locations off Alaska with a focus on exploring deepwater habitats. These expeditions are still ongoing and have already yielded fascinating, and some truly bizarre, results. These are just nine of the deep-living dwellers, from jellies to cephalopods to fish, that have been found in the deep Alaskan waters so far.
