We saw the forecast for a significantly storm making its way to the Swartberg mountains and the wider Klein Karoo and garden Route district. We decided to head through to hunt for some snow but instead were met by heavy clouds, thunder, lightning and lots of rain. Fast forward to when the storm had past and we could head back to the homestead to see what, if any, damage had occurred.

We were hearing all over social media channels of the destruction of infrastructure in the immediate surrounds of our homestead and were really concerned about what we would find. Would the floods have damaged the land and left us with lots of repairs, or would the homestead land handle the flow and volume of water well? All of this is revealed in this video where we go back after the Klein Karoo floods.
