John Achkar is a Lebanese stand-up comedian and entrepreneur.
In this Sarde, we spoke about the following:
- Growing up as a conservative Christian in a sectarian country and becoming part of the Lebanese Forces
- Marriage, divorce and religious courts.
- His inspiration for his hilarious stand-up comedy shows
- The struggles of a new-wave Expat
- New MPs, new problems, higher expectations
Sarde (noun), [Sa-r-de]: A colloquial term used in the Middle East to describe the act of letting go & kicking off a stream of consciousness and a rambling narrative.
