Week 1 (Part 2) : MPFL, Tibial Tubercle Transfer, Scope

Follow my road to recovery from a MPFL + Tibial Tubercle Transfer and a scope surgery.  I'm a former Division 1 soccer player and semi pro soccer player, who was looking to go pro and faced yet another surgery along my journey.  This was my fourth surgery and the most major one yet.  I want to document my journey because prior to going through with this surgery I had so many questions and honestly was quite afraid to start this journey to recovery.  I realized there wasn't any stories POSTED out there that I could find of ANY former athletes at my level who had the surgery AND who came out of this surgery stronger and healed.  I have been told I may not be able to play again and have heard horror stories, luckily, I have also heard of a few success stories of 2 former athletes I know. My only hope is that this journey INSPIRES anyone it can.  Maybe you are going through an injury or getting a surgery done and need someone to look up to or follow to lift your spirits - I'm your girl!  Maybe you were told you need this surgery done too, and you are scared and don't know what to expect - I hope my journey helps you!!

Lastly,  the reason I got these two procedures done was from dislocations, a torn ligament, which caused an unstable knee and prohibited me from doing any soccer or running, and my knee cap wasn't aligned or tracking right.  I already have grade 3 cartilage damage, and have had lateral releases done on both knees, and a microfracture surgery as well.  I can't wait to come out of this on top!
