Small steps in regenerative agriculture: pasture planting and rotational grazing. I am working with my flock of Dorper sheep, beef cattle, and chickens (mostly my sister's work there) to restore pasture health through rotational grazing. Another regenerative agriculture practice that I implement is small scale pasture planting. I choose portions of pasture with low soil fertility and use a small seeder to plant crimson clover and rye grass.
Rotational grazing my cattle (sheep and cows) are my primary means of restoring soil health. Regenerative agriculture is really a series of small actions performed consistently. Regnerative agriculture is also as much about what you do not do as what you do. I do not use any chemical fertilizers on my pasture. The manure from sheep, cows, and chickens works simultaneously to restore soil health and heal my land.
Thank you for watching!

About this Channel:
This channel chronicles my journey as a sheep farmer from the very beginning. My primary occupation is in business management. In 2020, I discovered the principles of regenerative agriculture and embarked on a journey with the end goal of building a profitable small farm on 23 acres by 2027. Thank you for joining the journey!
