Steven Universe Theory: The Importance of Corrupted Gems

It is pretty clear that Steven Universe now is not the same show as it was when it first started. Looking back on the first half of season one, we can see that a lot of focus was put on Steven and the Crystal Gems bubbling corrupted gems. Now we have a very different story, with the plot having expanded much farther than could originally be assumed. But with that in mind, it is about time that the show comes back to one of the first things it placed focus on. In fact, corrupted gems may have an increased significance on the plot very soon. We have much to look forward to after all, and we may even see the healing of both Centipeetle and Jasper.
