Here are a few clips of AMTK 145, the Phase III painted Heritage engine, running on the Surfline on May 4th 2014. This engine ran a whole whopping 2 days down here. It broke down between Oceanside and Solana beach on Sunday, running Amtrak #572. I actually did manage to get a shot of it leading in Encinitas before it became a double-set with Amtrak #774 in Solana beach.

Clip #1...While waiting for Amtrak #572 to show up, I filmed Amtrak #579 rippin' thru the Encinitas station with some solid K5LA action from Cabcar #6903!
Clip #2...P42 #145 finally comes thru Encinitas, leading Amtrak #572 running over an hour late. This train was traveling well under track speed, due to the engine trouble it had. Solid K5LA horn nonetheless!
Clip #3...Amtrak #774, led by AMTK 452, speeds through Sorrento Valley towing the dead Amtrak #572 set behind it.
