steeping my days in tea

i have been working and living at a temple / green tea farm in the mountains of korea for about a month and a half now. embarking on this journey away from my home (america), i have found new home in both myself and the land that my body / blood / ancestors are from. i feel so lucky to have roots in this culture. it's so beautiful! and soooo delicious. graduating from university, i decided to work a summer job and move my things back in with my parents. no corporate job. no apartment lease. not saying those things are bad. i simply didn't feel inclined to do that. i wanted to just wander around along a path where i have the freedom to go where the wind takes me. instead of spending a lot of time working, making a lot of money, and spending a lot of that money, i decided to spend less of my time working, make less money, and spend less money. i shall trust that whatever happens, it will be okay. i hope you have a warm cup of tea today. and i hope you get to touch some plants today. and eat a yummy delicious meal. that's honestly all there is to life. eat, digest, and poop. that's it. thank you for being here and witnessing what has been my life for the past month and a half. * chapters 00:00 the beginning 02:10 how did i end up here? 03:00 a life revolved around tea 06:17 beads of rain 08:40 prayer to the mountain god 10:29 not everywhere is perfect (or is it?) 11:35 what are my priorities? 12:56 it is all an exchange. 14:58 saw dust 17:25 free time 18:40 4 sounds / 4 teachings 21:12 a prayer with monk dukjae 22:02 the end
