Parkinson's disease (PD) is a progressive, degenerative condition of the Basal Ganglia.  PD affects an individual's ability to innitiate movement and their gait, described as festinating and freezing, is short, slow and difficult to initiate.  They also have postural instability.  It can be frustrating and dangerous to the individual who is at an increased risk of falls.  Visual and auditory cues can sometimes help improve a PD patient's walk.  Dr. Bulman, a chiropractor at Sports N Spine, here demonstrates how dramatically an early or mid- stage PD individual's gait can instantly respond to the visual cue of tape on the floor.  However, this condition progresses and deteriorates with time.
