Learn how to remove and replace the M.2 solid state drive for the HP ZBook 15 G5, G6 Mobile Workstation.

Before you begin: Remove the service door and battery.
Removal
IMPORTANT: This unit can be configured with three M.2 solid state drives. Two on the bottom and one on the top of the system board. All three are removed in the same manner.
Remove the 2 mm P1 Phillips-head screw that secures the solid state drive to the system board.
Grasp the solid state drive by the edges and pull gently to remove it.
Reverse this procedure to install the solid state drive.
IMPORTANT: When installing the solid state drive, be sure to align the notch in the solid state drive with the key in the solid state drive slot in the system board.
Caution: Improperly installing or replacing parts could damage your HP device or void your warranty. Before replacing any parts, check your warranty.
