This original documentary is the story of Tim Richmond's attempt to run in the 1988 Daytona 500. While his final race was in August 1987, the following year, he made one last attempt to race. This is the dramatic end of Tim Richmond's racing career.

Godwin Kelly: "I drove him to airport... I took him to airport and he had a steamer trunk and gave the curbside baggage handler a $50 tip. He was very confident of his standing with @NASCAR after that meeting."
Bob Varsha: "Found him at a phone booth (remember those?) at the airport after a company PR rep (now incarcerated) tried to keep me occupied with small talk while TR had his meeting with management and left town. Good times!"
