EIGRP, or Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol, supports two modes of operation: classic mode and named mode.

1. Classic Mode: This is the traditional configuration method where you set up EIGRP using global configuration commands. It's been around since EIGRP's inception and is still widely used.

2. Named Mode: Introduced in later versions of Cisco IOS, named mode provides a more structured and modular approach to configuring EIGRP. It organizes configuration into separate address families and autonomous systems, making it easier to manage and troubleshoot large networks. It's considered more flexible and scalable compared to classic mode.
