In an all new episode of Queerpiphany, hosts Munroe and Tayce invite star of stage and screen, Pearl Mackie, to sit down with them and share her Queerpiphany: ‘Lipstick Lover’ by Janelle Monae. Pearl reflects on growing up without access to her queerness, her experience of coming out recently and how she met her fiancée. The trio gush over Janelle Monae and the celebration of queer femme sexuality and joy and celebrate the ‘queernaissance’ we are currently having. Pearl also reveals how playing the first gay companion on Doctor Who changed her life in more ways than one and shares how it feels being other people’s ‘queerpiphany’.
