Perlis mufti claims Jakim was briefed about GISBH

Perlis mufti Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin has claimed that the Islamic Development Department (Jakim) was slow to act on issues of aqidah (faith) deviation involving Global Ikhwan Service and Business Holding (GISBH).

Asri claimed that a group of researchers had earlier presented issues related to GISBH to Jakim, but they failed to take any action.

GISBH has previously commented on the issue and denied running the welfare homes raided by police or abusing children under their care.
