Syrian President Hafez al-Assad on Wednesday (7/8) rejected Israel's offer of a resumption of peace talks, saying the Jewish state's leaders were not committed to peace. Assad made the comments after talks with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in Alexandria, Egypt.
