Welcome to the Mercure Hotel
Welcome to the Mercure Hotel Paris Centre Tour Eiffel. We stayed here in Dec 2023. The hotel is located right next to the Eiffel Tower, (350m or 5min walk). We booked a Premium room which is located on a high floor. Minibar was free. You can also book a Premium room with (partial) Eiffel Tower view, but book this room way up front as these rooms are the most popular. Continental breakfast was nice. Staff was friendly. The hotel has it's own private parking, which costs 34€ per day (24h). We stayed for 2 days + 5 hours extra, and they charged me 102€ which is not ok! (so essentially they charge me another 34€ for the extra 5h I left my car at the parking). We arrived at the hotel at 11h30 in the morning. Our room was already available but they charged 50€ extra for the 'early check in'. I have travelled a lot for work in the past and never did I get charged extra for early check in (I stayed mostly at Hilton and Radisson Blue so maybe this is a Mercure thing?)
All in all the hotel has a great location next to the Eiffel tower, and very close to the Bir-Hakeim metro station. Or if you prefer nice views get off at Trocadero metro station and walk across the bridge and along the Eiffel tower to the hotel.
If you want a better view of the Eiffel Tower, then you can stay at the Pullman hotel which is just next to the Mercure. It has nice rooms with Balcony and excellent Eiffel tower views. But be prepared to pay nearly double the price of the Mercure hotel.
The year before we stayed at the Hampton by Hilton Clichy, near the peripherique. The rooms were cheap and clean, but it took about 40min to get to the city center on various metro lines, so to me the extra cost of being dead center is worth the extra cost.
