Clearcoats are often an overlooked part of the painting and weathering process, and yet, they make the difference between a good-looking model and a great-looking one. Additionally, if we don't pay attention to what we are doing with clearcoats, we can end up with some unexpected disasters. This video looks at what clearcoats are, how they are used, problems one can have with them, and some of my favourite mixes that I've had some good success with.

Some argue that Future/Pledge Revive-It needs to be revised/revisited/removed as a modelling technique. I've found it to be effective and flexible, and acknowledge that others have suggested moving beyond it. For an alternate point of view, check out this site:
