This video showcases the FIRST AC Coach interior (1A) of 12433 Chennai Rajdhani Express. On my visit, I found the 2010 made Rajdhani LHB First class AC coach to be extremely clean and pristine. I have covered both 4 birth cabin, 2 birth coupe and took a brief shot of the bay in this video for your viewing pleasure.
Chennai Rajdhani Express:
The Chennai Rajdhani Express (12433 / 12434) is an important train connecting Chennai to New Delhi. It was first introduced in 1993 and runs twice a week from Delhi and twice from Chennai.
12433 Chennai Rajdhani Express covers a distance of 2174 kilometers in about 28 hours 10 minutes at an average speed of 77 km/hr.
The train has a high priority at signals, on the Indian railway network, and is fully air-conditioned. Passengers are provided with complimentary meals during the journey.
The trains offer three classes of accommodation; First Class AC (1A) with 2 or 4 berth lockable bedrooms, AC 2-tier with open system berths (bays of 4 berths + 2 berths on the side) but provided with curtains for privacy, AC 3-tier (bays of 6 berths + 2 berths on the side) with no privacy curtains.
Passengers travelling on the First AC class in this train are treated with luxury. They get their own private cabin, music stereos, scent emitters and a 4 course dinner.
Chennai Rajdhani is now running with brand new LHB coaches since 2012 and shares its rakes with Trivandrum Rajdhani Express.
