The new Midland ER10VP AM
The new Midland ER10VP AM FM NOAA Weather Alert Emergency Portable Radio may well be the best preparedness radio to date. The FM, and NOAA Weather Band Reception is well Above Average. It has a Slim Profile allowing it to be packed away in a Shelter in Place or Bug Out Bag. The Radio also uses common AA batteries which are also included :)

Features I like about the new ER10:
Low Cost.
Digital Display.
Standard AA Operation.
Listen to FM or AM while Weather Alert Mode is Active.
Flashlight with Three Modes.
FM Reception is well Above Average.
Twelve or Twenty-Four Hour Clock.
NOAA Reception is Awesome.
Batteries Included.
Features that could be Added or Improved on:
AM Reception, Good for Locals Only atm.
Fix Volume, Too Loud at the Lowest Setting for Normal Use.
Improve Speaker Audio.
Overall, this radio gets a "Maybe" recommendation from me. It works fantastic as a backup radio that will mainly see use only in an Emergency.
