The "All-Star Rock 'N' Wrestling
The "All-Star Rock 'N' Wrestling Saturday Spectacular" originally aired on Friday, 9/13/1985 on CBS. It was a prime time special that was intended to showcase the Saturday morning cartoon programs for the season.
Hosted by WWF/WWE Superstar "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, the program features appearances by Gary Owens, Patti LaBelle, Pee-Wee Herman, New Edition, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Herve Villechaize, Hulk Hogan (via satellite), Captain Lou Albano, Cyndi Lauper, and others.
We also get previews of many of the programs like "The Berenstain Bears", "The Wuzzles", "Jim Henson's Muppets, Babies, and Monsters", "Hulk Hogan's Rock 'N' Wrestling" and more.
I recorded this on the night it was aired, and for the last 27 years I have kept this tape in my collection. Normally, I only post original videos, but due to the interest of a few people online, I decided to add this to my channel. This is a VHS to digital transfer, and may not be the best quality.
