In this Alternate History with A point of divergence in 1919, Austria being admitted into Germany, has caused a cascade of effects that has led to a significantly different World War Two than our timeline. The Stresa front that Italy had attempted to create in our timeline has manifested in a different way in this alternate history, creating a Latin Axis with France and Italy. In response, the Weimar Germans and British Empire create the Saxon Allies.

After the peace negotiations had failed, the advances that the Germans and the Saxon Allies had been making towards the destruction of the Soviet Union were quickly lost to a Soviet Counter Offensive.

The Germans responded by unleashing their Wunderwaffen, the First Atomic Bomb, Fenrir, on Stalingrad.

But how did the Germans develop the Nuke before the Americans? Why did they deploy it against the Soviets, and why Stalingrad in particular? Would the Nuclear deployment be worth the strain in relations between the Saxon Allies and their Russian Collaborators? How would the Americans react?
