The problem with swivel seats in a van: Fitting footrest and storage.

When choosing a van to do a self build we have to think about what size van will work for us. If like me you choose a MWB over longer vans to get into parking spaces and down lanes then you might also have considered swivel seats.
The problem we found is that the seats when turned are quite high and leave the feet dangling. So, for my Sprinter campervan I decided to build a footrest with storage inside which means we now also have a place to put our shoes and the dog bowls and food.
With space in a self build van being a premium this space saving idea works really well for us.
